About Us

Hemophilia of Indiana, Inc. is dedicated to empowering the bleeding disorder community through education and support, while advocating access to quality care and product safety.

Hemophilia of Indiana, Inc. (HOII) traces its beginnings to the mid-1950s when families with children with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders banded together for support and advocacy. HoII was formed as a chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation in 1963 and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1972. We are affiliated with the National Hemophilia Foundation, the Hemophilia Federation of America, and Community Health Charities of Indiana. Today we serve more than 1,400 people and their families throughout the State of Indiana.

HOII primarily receives income generated from corporate and individual donations and fundraisers. We strive to aggressively minimize overhead costs so that the majority of funds go directly to programs serving the Indiana hemophilia community.

Testimonials

"Hemophilia of Indiana has given me so many opportunities throughout the years. From educational programs to summer camps, I have learned so much and had so many great experiences. I am now giving back by volunteering for Doug Thompson Teen Leadership Camp and other summer camps for children with bleeding disorders throughout the U.S."
